Race in the Workplace

Hello! As I have talked with my coaching clients and colleagues in the past few weeks, I hear a consistent theme – there is a desire to talk about race in the workplace but people are unsure as to how to keep the conversations going. This HBR article has some good tips: https://hbr.org/2020/06/is-your-company-actually-fighting-racism-or-just-talking-about-it. I also encourage you to read the latest WSJ article in which senior executives speak out about their experience of being Black in America. It is eye-opening. I hope articles and testimonies like this will encourage all of us to keep asking questions, seeking information, and looking for ways we can contribute to positive change in addressing systemic racism in our organizations and in our lives. Thanks for reading.
