Accentuate the Positive

As a leadership coach, I like to concentrate on the positive – focusing on strengths and things that work well and figuring out how to do them more often or even better. It’s also important to look at the common mistakes that leaders make, and how to remediate them. Here’s a great summary – it can help you be even more effective leader, as well as prevent turnover of your valued employees.  Enjoy!

The 360 Degree Assessment Process

As I coach innovative and successful leaders, I see the importance and impact of receiving honest “360 degree” feedback. Trust: Essential to Leadership

Trust is the foundational element of a successful leadership team. In essence, it is the ability to discuss and address issues that are getting in the way of success, and being vulnerable with one another about strengths, problems and weaknesses. Reflecting on Leadership

I am so pleased to be affiliated as the Leadership Resource (and member) of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). As such, I am responsible for helping to design and then facilitate the initial session of the year; the topic is “Leading and Managing.” This year, my colleague Carol Bennett, assisted me in as we led the group discussions and also provided individualized debriefs of the results of their leadership assessments. Below is the wonderful description by Kacie, one of the participants in this year’s class. It is a pleasure and a privilege to help this year’s class, the second LeadershipFPRA class, as they move forward in their leadership development. Please see her description below. Thanks Kacie!

Enjoy, my fearless leaders!
